Veneers and Lumineers in Brampton

Veneers and Lumineers

Some teeth are healthy but don’t look the way you want. Maybe they’re chipped. Maybe they’re uneven. Sometimes whitening doesn’t work on deep stains. In these cases, veneers or Lumineers may be a good option.

What Veneers Can Do

A veneer is a thin shell that sits on the front of the tooth. It can:

N

Hide chips and cracks

N

Close small spaces

N

Smooth out edges

N

Improve the shape of a tooth

N

Cover stains that whitening cannot remove

Veneers are designed to blend in with your other teeth. They don’t change how you chew or bite.

What Makes Lumineers Different

Lumineers are a special type of veneer. They are very thin and, in some cases, can be placed without removing enamel. This means the process is less invasive. Not everyone is a candidate, but for some patients it’s a simpler option.

How the Process Works

The first step is an exam. We talk about what you’d like to change. If veneers are right for you, we prepare the teeth by shaping a small amount of enamel. Then we take an impression or scan. The veneers are made in a dental lab and bonded to your teeth at a later visit.

For Lumineers, the steps are similar but usually require less preparation. Both treatments are designed to feel natural and look consistent.

Caring for Veneers or Lumineers

You brush and floss the same way you would with natural teeth. Avoid biting ice, pens, or other hard objects. With proper care, veneers and Lumineers can last many years.

Things to Consider

Veneers and Lumineers are cosmetic. They do not treat cavities or gum problems. If other treatment is needed first, we will explain that clearly.
